Agraponics LLC. is an agriculture technology company specializing in the design, development and fabrication of sustainable food production operations. Currently our exciting start up is focusing on technologies to assist home growers from seed to harvest.

What We Address

Many Individuals, organizations, and institutions rely on large food distributors to deliver food on a consistent basis, but the cost of transporting this food results in high prices. Furthermore, volatile cost in transportation translates into volatile food prices. Our systems solve the problem of rising food prices by enabling customers to produce their own food.

Our Products

Our first line of products are in the development phase, but there are promising features to the first generation of Agraponics products. More details will be released in the coming weeks!

How Hydroponics Works

Hydroponics is the use of water and nutrients to grow plants. Controlling the growing environment allows growers to realize higher yields in a smaller space. Hydroponic systems can come in many shapes and sizes, but follow the same fundamental principles. Water and nutrients are delivered directly to the roots (with a pump), and collected in a reservoir (through a drain). Plants can be grown faster than in a natural environment, and use less water. The key to successfully achieving higher yields is controlling the nutrient availability and the environmental factors such as lighting, temperature, and PH.


Our Mission

Agraponics LLC. was established to improve food security (access to fresh food) for society by leveraging available technologies coupled with an educational component, for the purpose of enabling individuals, organizations, and institutions to grow local sustainably produced food. Agraponics’ mission is to enable local food production globally by leveraging user friendly technology to increase yield for our customers. The goal is to improve global food security through providing a means for people to create their own sustenance, with no negative impact on the environment, and in a way which economically uplifts individuals and the community. Through the development of sustainable solutions to meet global food demands, Agraponics operates to preserve the natural ecosystem and environment of the earth for all inhabitants and generations to come.

Responsible for business development, product delivery, marketing, logistics, and financial reports. Has spent the last year working in the financial industry, learning the ins and outs of financial planning and marketing under the mentorship of a CFP®. Chris has skills in Biology with many courses in plant biology, as well as courses in Geographic Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship. He is passionate about Agraponics vision of making the world a better place through education and the implementation of sustainable technologies.

Calder Sett, co-COO

Biology/Physics/Chemistry Clark '16

Responsible for system design, system construction, and operations. Calder has comprehensive experience in the design, building, and running of hydroponic and aquaponic systems. Including 2 years working with NASA to create and deliver systems to grow food in space at the international space station, and 2 years on an organic vegetable farm.
